STARLUX special
First, shoutout to Miles Made Easy on Instagram for sharing this earlier this morning. It appears STARLUX has pretty wide open award availability for 1-4 seats between Taipei and multiple US cities including Los Angeles (LAX/ONT), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Phoenix (PHX).
MME indicated it doesn’t appear to be phantom as they were able to book an award and have it ticketed. I also booked an award and it ticketed, so I guess these are bookable!
I can’t share all the dates and details as I am currently in at Heathrow in the BA Galleries lounge kicking off my honeymoon, but if you search on Alaska’s site, you can quickly find dates. You can even connect from another US city to one of the main departure cities for an extra 10k miles, making it cost 85k to fly STARLUX business class between US-Taipei.
Bilt is an Alaska transfer partner.

How to search and book?
1) Use Alaska’s award search calendar to quickly find dates. Find days with 75-85k award availability as these are saver awards. Then book!
Make sure to choose “Flexible dates” and “Use points”

2) After searching, filter for only partner business class awards on the top right. Not every flight is direct to the destination you search and could be connecting through another city (example: TPE→LAX search may show you a TPE→SEA→LAX flight).
