Happy week ending 6-7 recap!

Sorry, I had to.

Now let’s get into it!

Make sure to use your card credits

It’s almost the end of another quarter and also halfway through the year. There are a handful of quarterly and semi-annual credits you’ll definitely want to use and I want to give you a quick heads up to use them! Most of these are Amex cards but here’s a list of common quarterly or semi-annual credits that will expire if you don’t use them by the end of this month. As always, check the exact terms of how to get these to credit properly and potential workarounds as well across various FB groups, asking in-the-know friends, Reddit, Flyertalk, etc.

If I am missing any major ones, please let me know, you can reply to the email since I will remind people one more time before the end of the month. It’s becoming harder to keep up with all these expiring coupons, what can I say…

Transfer bonuses

Here’s the updated list of transfer bonuses including a few that are new from when I last published and my thoughts on them. Always helpful to get a boost when transferring points to a loyalty program. Amex finally added a useful one to AF/KLM. Rove with another cool bonus with 50% to Turkish Airlines as well.

JetBlue devalues Condor awards

I haven’t seen this reported yet but in the last week or two, there was a slight devaluation for booking Condor award flights through JetBlue. Recall you can use JetBlue points to book German-based Condor.

Here is what I noticed about a week ago with regards to pricing. Note these are East Coast→Frankfurt pricing. Despite the devaluation, the pricing is still reasonable. There’s also relatively wide-open award space between YYZ/FRA in June-August and October 2026.

Economy
19k→ 19.8k (4.2% increase)
Premium Economy
34k→35.6k (4.7% increase)
Business
54k→59.3k (9.8% increase)

I’m unsure how JetBlue came up with these numbers but it bothers me they aren’t rounded to the nearest thousands 😆

Philippine Airlines joining Oneworld alliance

The flagship carrier of the Philippines, Philippine Airlines (PAL), is set to join the Oneworld Alliance sometime next year (Simple Flying). That means more collaboration and reciprocal benefits if you fly PAL and have Oneworld status. This includes baggage interlining, being able to book PAL on a single itinerary with another partner (ie. PHL-ORD on AA then the ORD-MNL flight on PAL), and importantly the potential to redeem points from Oneworld airlines to book PAL saver awards. Hello 60k AA awards to fly PAL!

We also recently saw the ability to book Philippine Airlines award flights through Qatar Airways, where business class from JFK/ORD/YYZ to MNL costs 154.5k points each way and LAX/SEA/SFO/YVR to MNL costs 110k points each way.

PAL has some nice new A350 planes with suites that have doors. One started flying on the YYZ/MNL route just a few days ago. The JFK and ORD routes are also slated to get this configuration too. Otherwise it could be a very old configuration on a 777 with a 2-3-2 layout that is angle-flat instead of a true lie-flat seat! Buyer beware and plane swaps can always happen…

Deal of the week

Fly Finnair business class in spring or early summer 2027 for as low as 62.5k Avios each way. Use a Finnair trick to get 2 saver seats to show up in your search. Flights are between select US cities and Helsinki, Finland.

How to book
Tip: To book 2 seats, you need to book directly through Finnair and choose Finland as your location (you can still keep English as language)

Finnair: 62.5k points + ~$150-190 in tax/fees one way. €50 change/cancel fee.
Transfer partners: Avios ecosystem so Amex, Bilt, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Rove, Wells Fargo. Points generally move freely between Avios programs (Aer Lingus, BA, Iberia, Qatar) but need Iberia account open 60 days to move out of them.

About Find Flights for Me.

I started the idea of Find Flights for Me back in 2023 to help educate and inspire people to use their credit card points more effectively, with a focus on using points to fly business and first class flights.

When I’m not working on Wall Street or searching for flight deals, you can find me planning for my upcoming wedding, enjoying local restaurants, helping my parents book their next trip, traveling internationally, or visiting friends/family in NYC, Philadelphia, or DC.
