What a year,
In the last year, I published my first blog post, set up my newsletter, got engaged, and was able to book some of the very own deals I shared. Here is my 2025 recap post on my blog.
I’m not great at counting but I believe I shared 43 deals on Instagram, 16 deals through the newsletter, and a handful of time-sensitive deals on my Instagram story. It may not sound like a lot, but hey, it’s free! (I’ll run some ads to cover the cost of my hosting, though).
I was a bit busy with my personal and work life this year so I wasn’t able to share as many deals as I hoped, but I think 2026 will shape up to be a pretty good year.
Anyways, I wanted to send one final reminder to use all of your credit card coupons before they expire at the end of the year
Happy holidays and Happy New Year!

Year-end checklist
There are a few days left to 2025, so if you have any credits across the premium coupon cards, make sure to try to use them! Here is a short and non-comprehensive list of things to review and potentially use before 2026.
Use all your credit card coupons (Frequent Miler has a Google Sheet to help)
Choose your loyalty milestone rewards (like Marriott, Aeroplan, etc.)
Sign up for new cards to potentially triple dip (Amex will overnight premium cards like Amex Plat and Aspire)
Meet the required spend on cards for more perks ($75k lounge access)
Pay estimated 4Q taxes to meet minimum spending
Mattress run or mileage run for status
Maximize credit card referrals (they usually reset every calendar year)
Buy the max amount of points? (BA boost, Alaska points, etc.)
Transfer/combine the max amount of points between accounts? (ie. Marriott, Hyatt, or Hilton since its free)
Cash out points with annual limits (like 1.1cpp Amex to Schwab)
List of credits and potential ways to use them
These are for credits that expire in a calendar year. Amex and Citi are the two major players that have credits that expire in a calendar year. Chase and Capital One are tied to the cardholder anniversary year.
Amex Platinum $300 THC or FHR credit. Prepay for a 2026 stay. They are generally refundable so you can cancel if you decide to change your plans. Amex will usually claw back the credit though.
Amex Platinum $200 flight incidental credit. Choose United as your airline and buy United Travel bank in 2x $100 increments. There are some other workarounds for other airlines as well (see Reddit thread) but you may want to check FlyerTalk for updates as these “loopholes” can change at any time.
Amex Resy credits (Amex Plat, select Delta cards). Dine out at a Resy restaurant or buy a gift card online from a restaurant in the Resy platform. Details on buying a GC here.
Amex Uber credits. The Plat is elevated in December so make sure to use it! I just use them for Uber eats pickup orders from local restaurants.
Amex Vanilla Plat $50 Saks credit. Buy a $50 gift card in-store at a Saks. However, not sure how long this will last as Saks is potentially looking at bankruptcy. If you have gift cards from prior purchases, better to use them soon.
Amex Vanilla Plat $75 Lululemon credit. Buy a $75 gift card in-store or order one online but have it physically mailed to you.
Amex Biz Plat $150 Dell credit. Dell sells a bunch of stuff besides their own computers and hardware. You can buy video games and game systems from the Nintendo Switch to PS5, monitors, software, and more.
Amex Hilton Aspire credits. $50 monthly flight credit can be used to buy United travel bank, or you can prebook a flight on another airline and cancel it later for future flight credit. The $200 semi-annual resort credit can also be used for a future stay. You will need to book a resort hotel (do not prepay as it doesnt count) and contact the hotel to prepay your folio with a credit card authorization form. Not all hotels allow this though. For example, the Waldorf Astoria Cabo has stopped allowing this apparently. YMMV.
Amex Gold $7 Dunkin credits. I have been adding $7 onto my Dunkin account every month. The max you can have in total is $125 before needing to add another gift card to reload.
Citi Strata Elite $300 hotel credit. Prepay for a 2+ night stay on Citi Travel’s website for a 2026 stay. Even though you have to prepay, there should be fully refundable rates in case your plan changes. I am not familiar if Citi will claw the credit back though.
Citi Strata Elite $200 splurge credit. Choose 2 companies to apply it to with a choice of 1st Dibs, American Airlines, Best Buy, Future Personal Training, and Live Nation. Buying gift cards at Best Buy appears to work FYI (Reddit thread)

About Find Flights for Me.
I started the idea of Find Flights for Me back in 2023 to help educate and inspire people to use their credit card points more effectively, with a focus on using points to fly business and first class flights.
When I’m not working on Wall Street or searching for flight deals, you can find me planning for my upcoming wedding, enjoying local restaurants, helping my parents book their next trip, traveling internationally, or visiting friends/family in NYC, Philadelphia, or DC.
Why is Saks only 2% on Rakuten?
